"I recently purchased property at Campa Vista in Honduras with Life Vision Developments and had the opportunity to visit the site in February, 2008. We stayed at the Campamento Resort and had a delightful time with the owners Arturo and Orleis. The resort is definitely Honduran style in that it is very basic but very clean. They are expanding the Hotel with plans to have a rooftop lounge which would afford a spectacular view of the ocean. The Honduran people were gracious and friendly.

We hiked up the mountain site and I actually got to stand on my lot. It was great to see the view as I envisioned my house completely built on the property. I can‘t wait to start construction so I can host my family and friends and share with them this fantastic, quiet little piece of paradise. "

"Hello, I‘m Chad Heise. My uncle Bill owns a house within the Campamento Beach Resort, and has been spending most of the year down there for the last 15 years—mostly windsurfing!.

He has basically become extended family with proprietors Orleis and Arturo Ramos. I currently live in San Francisco, but have visited Campamento every year for the last five years. It is some special place! My plan is to spend each March/April there, helping run the windsurfing side of our windsports camp. The Campa Vista Development is brand new, I only heard of it a couple of months ago. Admittedly, I was a little shocked at first, as I suppose anyone is when a new development is proposed in a pristine and undiscovered spot. However, upon speaking with my uncle and getting the details of their prospectus, I think it could be a good thing for the local economy. And, quite honesty, I suspect it was inevitable. The area is too beautiful to stay under the radar. The homes will be up on the foothills behind Campamento, below the 4000 foot mountain range.

There is a wonderful village called Kundu, nestled into a river valley just west of the Campa Vista Development, and the Garifuna village of Santa Fe is just a bit further down the road. You should definitely come visit Trujillo and stay at Campamento. The grounds are beautiful, and the cabanas are very cozy. The hotel will be finished by March, which has comfy oceanfront rooms, and you‘ll love Orleis and Arturo.

We‘ve got brand new windsurfing/kiting equipment if that‘s your thing, as well as sea kayaks, horses, mountain treks, or just kicking it on the white sand beach or at the pool. "

"When I first arrived in La Ceiba, Honduras after a day of travel, it was already dark. The radiant sunsets are on display every evening at about 6:00pm, which no one should miss toasting any and every evening you are there. So if you get to Honduras after dark, I would highly recommend you staying in La Ceiba for a restful night to start your journey to Trujillo first thing in the morning. I say this because of the incredible scenery that you will want to take in on your drive toward your property.

When you arrive in Trujillo…in the most beautiful part of a country…The hardest part was staying in bed after the sun comes up at around 5:00AM every morning, knowing that this is waiting for you. The sounds of the ocean hitting the beach, the birds, the day starting and yet there is a quiet to all of this that I can‘t quite explain. Trujillo is an emerging place in Honduras but I like to think of it as unspoiled, a true treasure that I thought wasn‘t available in our world anymore and here I was being a part of it. "
